An announcement on the microphone.
The excited commentator shouts out…..
“Last over of the innings and Danny has been handed over the ball. Can he do it? Can he do it for the home team? He has done fine till now as he has given away only 3 runs off his 5 balls. Last ball of his over and just one run to draw and two to win for the opponent team.”
“Are we on the verge of a miracle?”
“Lets see, Can Danny pull through this impossible task…..”
Danny seemed determined. Now on his run up. The batsman had just arrived and Danny had a perfect chance to win the game for his team. Danny was just whispering to himself at that time.
“Yes I can do it”.
“Just one to go”.
The faces of his parents flashed before him as this often occurred with him whenever he was in some kind of pressure or trouble.
He started running with a look of determination in him.
What is gonna happen no one knows………
Suddenly Danny hears a voice… he thinks who’s shouting in between his run up?
“Uth be …….. college nahi jaana kya? Chal uth.. attendance short ho jaayega.”
Suddenly Danny gets up by hearing the low drawling voice of his room mate Bob.
Danny, irritated gets up …”Idiot…. Kya timing hai teri??? 5 min baad nahi utha paa raha tha?”.
Bob confused asked about what had happened.
Danny replies “I was at the verge of glory that u woke me up u idiot”.
Bob tells “Leave all this for now dude…. Lets go or no entry in the digital electronics class”.
Danny springs out of bed as soon as he sees the clock.
Danny says “I’ll tell u the stuff on the way”.
Just by getting into his old pair of jeans and a t-shirt and just a gargle instead of brush Danny gets ready and both of them set off to the college for the classes.
Both rushed to the class as they had already been late and the faculty for the subject was a freak as he never let anyone enter after him.
As both reached the corridor in front of the classroom Bob said “Shit man. Too late. I always have to miss the class because of you Dan. If I would not have wasted time in waking u up then I might have reached on time.”
Danny – “What ??? coz of me?? U lazy fellow……
Bob – “Ok. Ok my lord my mistake.”
Danny – “Hey don’t worry, I can at least take a chance for your sake”
Bob – “No not required”, if u disturb him he will curse him like anything”
Danny – “That’s ok dude”
On sliding behind the door Danny pops his head inside the classroom and with a medium pitch voice says-
“Sir, May I come in?”
On asking this Danny was surprised to see the hideous looks on his class mates faces as all turned around to see who had committed this crime to ask in this class.
The Sir shouted at the top of his voice….”You foolish, how dare you enter my class. Get the hell out”. He was so loud that even a person with hearing ailment could have heard it without his ear piece.
Danny quickly gets his head out of the small opening in which he had put it to hear such scolding. Turns back and looks at bob.
Bob tells “I had told you”.
Danny says “Dude it’s Ok. It doesn’t bother me.”
They walk down the lonely corridor. Not attending classes was a type of regular stuff for Danny. But it was not the same for Bob. He was a little upset but didn’t want to blame Danny for this.
